As Webelos Scouts approach the end of their Cub years they have the important decision of which BSA Troop they would like to join. Troop 26 invites all Webelos and their parents to attend any of our Monday meetings to get a feel of what we are all about. Please contact our Scoutmaster, David Wilson, to arrange an evening that would be convenient for you by emailing him at email@example.com.
Our Troop also offers an annual Lock-in Event at our Scout Hut that all Webelos are encouraged to attend. We offer a variety of activities for the Webelos and Scouts to do together so they can get to know each other better. Some of these activities may include leather working, Scout skills, extreme ice cream making, a cookout, indoor camping, and maybe some movies or games. Per National Scout Directives a Webelos Leader or a YPT Trained Parent from your child’s Pack must attend with the Webelos from your Pack. All parents are welcome to come and participate for any portion of the event, including the indoor camping, to offer you an opportunity to get to know our Scouts and Leadership. Please contact our Scoutmaster, David Wilson, at firstname.lastname@example.org to make your reservation.
Troop 26 has long been supportive to the Button Gwinnett District Cub Scout Packs and Webelos events. We have staffed Webelos Woods and Webelos Round-ups and crossover ceremonies. In 2013, we organized and presented the Flag Retirement Ceremony and Stretcher Race at Webelos Woods held at Bert Adams Scout Reservation in September.
